Since I'm not currently confident in my ability to do a ship from scratch, I decided to try using Vossiej's Flight I/II drawing as a base for the Flight IIA for my first attempt. From the photos I've looked at, all the Flight IIAs seem to have Mk 38 Mod 2 25mm Bushmasters in this location. From everything I've read, USS Roosevelt (contrary to the old drawing) has the same 5"/54 gun as Oscar Austin, and it was actually USS Winston S. Churchill that was the first with the 5"/62. I know BB1987 already did this one and I'm guessing his was probably better, but I went ahead and did the Halsey too in case his got lost in the Majhost meltdown. Also the photos I've seen show that the aft CIWS has been restored on Halsey. The newer Flight IIAs have the pedestal for the forward CIWS but nothing mounted there. Gravely seems to be the first in that configuration. |

Welcome aboard! DDG-97 somewhat escaped the majhost meltdown and is safe in my HD. I just need to dump my lazyness, get a photobucket (or dropbox) account in order to submit it (and some more other ships) to the current upload session (right now, I'm using imgur, which has the bad habit of messing completely the filenames). Still, you made me realize that I had completely missed the Bushmaster, so you deserve a point for that |

Crap, I meant to put this in the Beginner Drawings Forum. Oh, and the missing image of your Halsey was what inspired me to give this a try in the first place. |

Welcome aboard. My only critique at the moment is the Mk 45 Mod 4 being the old version, but that would be easy enough to fix I think. |

All I can say on that one is, whoops.I think I've got the right turret on them now. |

That is an easy enough mistake to make.
I think I've got the right turret on them now.
You certainly do. <Thumbs up>

Great drawings. Just a little remark: your drawing Shows DDG-91 as built with the small hangar for the minesweeping drone. At that time she did not have the remotely controlled Bushmaster but had the old manually controlled mounting. Later the small hangar was closed, a Phalanx installed (the aft one) and the Bushmasters replaced. |

and another remark: I think the later ships have a few more and bigger radomes |

Anyway Magus, here is the missing DDG-97 halsey as of 2013 I've took the chance to place the Bushmaster I've missed. You can check it if you want to to refine whatever you might want to. |
