Greetings!

Here is my second effort. She is a member of the follow-on class to the Reinier Claeszen class battlecruisers (see my earlier post) designed to address the shortcomings of those ships. She is armed with 10 x 350mm guns, which were built by Krupp of Germany (similar to the Mackensen class main weapons).

Looks very good StealthJester, like a Konig on steroids with a bit of extra speed to put it into the fast battleship class.

A very nice design. Looks good. The only thing I'm wondering about however is whether there is enough room for the forward boiler rooms ahead of Q barbette/ magazine. Maybe flip the turret?

But if you flip it and the funnels (BRs) are symmetrical then don’t you run out of space for the turbines/reciprocal stuff (ERs) ?
Unless They are after the turrets but that looks tight ?

Hi JSB,

You could have the outer shaft engine rooms forward of the aft turret pair and the inner shaft engine rooms aft of the aft turret pair - I imagine having steam lines leading around the magazines doesn't do wonderful things for powder temperatures but I'm sure I've read about it being done on other ships.
