Hello, wasn't sure if FD scale was ok for beginner drawing forums, but it is a beginner drawing. This is my own creation, totally fictional, based on the soviet T35 tank which I have been parading around in via Warthunder a lot lately. I decided to make an American version. It uses a 100mm howitzer as its main gun on top, then six 37mm turrets. Its one of those wonky inter-war tanks. Also makes use of 7 coaxial .30 cal guns, one extra .30 in the top turret facing rear and not pictured a pair of pintle mounted .30 cals on the top turret. I could use some tips. I got the scale fairly accurate, but I feel its missing detail. The door on the side doesn't 'line up' because I was trying to evoke that the turret base is angled. Oh and about the name. The Short Faced bear was the largest bear to ever roam North America. I figure that was fitting for this tank. |

On the "formal side", then You used wrong font and the drawing itself should be located closer to lower-left corner (although for personal designs it's less important than it would be for something real-life). As for the tank itself. It's not bad for a beginner's drawing, but the drive wheels and tracks around them need more work (the wheels look to be squares and track to bend at 90 degrees). Also I'm not sure what are those dark green lines on track skirts and why some of them are horizontal and some not so much. And last but not least - I'd work on shading. Usually on SB (both in SB and FD scale) the light comes roughly from upper-right corner, so the elements facing forward of the vehicle are "lighter" and those facing back are "darker". |

Thanks for the input, I made some of the changes you suggested. First, I moved it to the lower left, then I think I got the right font. Its Arial size 14 and 10, but I feel like photoshop might be screwing with it somehow. I messed with the tracks and wheels a bit, it just hard because I obscured them so much with the skirt. I added in a new set of wheels and tweaked the skirt a bit, but some of the references I used don't really show the tracks as bending that way, though I might elongate and slope the rear area of the tracks to make it look nicer. At least I was able to change it a bit. I lost the green lines because they didn't read as anything and added a lot more rivets, made a lot easier by figuring out photoshop brushes so I can space and paint them super-quick. I also added a bit of shading to the turrets and skirt areas. |

EDIT: Did a bit of touching up on it to show shading so you get the gist of it. Try to rework the roadwheels to they're a bit more circular, along with the tracks too as Eswube stated earlier. In addition, a 100mm gun in FD scale (IIRC...) is 5 pixels thick, and a 37mm should be 3 pixels thick. The 37mm should also be a bit shorter I believe. Anyways, it is a good start so far.I messed with the tracks and wheels a bit, it just hard because I obscured them so much with the skirt. Wow! You are fast! Thanks for that, this really helps me understand what the shading is about. I guess I just didn't really notice it much in other peoples drawings. |

Indeed, Imperialist did a good work with His preview. Maybe I'd just add that I'd still work on those "upper" wheels and tracks around them, which instead of encircling it, turns at 90 degree. |
