Post subject: | Stealth Ships |
Since I am still getting used to the concept of stealth ships, and ships themselves I need some help making them look realistic. Here is a design I started on, based off of acelanceloet's destroyer. Tell me what you think. Note: Some weapons are fictional. |

I don't really like the guns you have placed on the ship: especially the stern one is way to heavy IMO. also, why have you removed the underwater hull? and an little note: I used the I mast for the multirole ships, for air defence it's range and power are just not enough..... I don't know which role you want for your ship, but keep this in mind. the last thing I want to say, is that this ship isn't really an stealth ship.... it is stealthier then the ships of the previous generation, but it will still show up on radar. if you really want an stealth ship you should look to my escort frigate but this one is good warship overall. |

Here is an update. I'm not sure what to do with the I mast, and I'm not so sure on the ship's role yet. I changed the guns, and shortened it just a little bit. (Concerning the Underwater hull, I will add it once the ship done) Now, I have the two turrets, and the " hidden vls.." So what else do I need? |

One good example of stealth ship is the Valour Class frigate of South African Navy. These frigates do not have funnels, but the fumes are guided underwater, both for diesels and turbines.Your ship has significant thermal signature as it is now. |

as I said, this one isn't really an stealth ship, but an warship. the funnels are designed to shield some heat from the inside (cold air mixed with the hot exhaust gasses and so on) but not comparable to real stealth ships.to ezgo: please use the new oto melara guns from the sheet I am working on download/file.php?id=537 what you will need, are details. lots of details. you need lights, railings, rhib bay, life rafts....... btw, the role has to be the first thing you need to think about. on the role depends the use of engines, weapons and size...... and the basic layout. |

I'm back, after a lot of school and work. And I present to you the first ship I have drawn of the new year! Tell me what you think, and don't comment about the mast and anchor (I know they're missing). |

you've used the old oto melara, the bridge looks too large, and the sturcture looks too big overall. the hull looks ok (but still needs improvement) I also think your VLS will interfere with the hangar, and will cause topweigh issues. |

The gun is going to be my own design. It is just a fill in for now. I also think your VLS will interfere with the hangar, and will cause topweigh issues. I'll edit the bridge, and I already lowered the structure once, and I can't go lower. The VLS will interfere with the Hangar, but I will extend the hangar space. Im not worried about the top weight. It should be ok. If not, I will put it on the heli pad. |

why not shorten the structure, and place the VLS in front of it? |
