Hello everybody, As Colloseum said in another thread that there is no introduction board because normally people introduce themselves in the Beginner forum by posting a drawing, I will do so (although my first contribution is not a ship...). Nickname : DeepHalo Country : Belgium Sex / Age : Male / 38 Occupation : ICT consultant Hobbies : - Skydiving - Watching jumbo's passing right before my window, seconds before touching the 25R runway at Brussels National Airport - Gardening - Mountain-biking - Watching movies And of course, my introduction is accompanied with a first attempt. Please let me know what you think of it. Future contributions of airplanes, and eventual corrections on the one below, will be posted by me in the appropriate "FD Scale Aircraft" thread. |

Hey, welcome aboard with a great drawing. A few comments though; I'm not sure the raked wing tips on the -8 would look as you've drawn them. Images I've seen seem to show it with more dihedral. All your lower deck doors have rain gutters/bumpers for jetways yet the doors over the wings on the main deck should not have them if I remember correctly as no aerobridge will ever dock with them. I'm not sure if the aft door has them or not but I would guess not. Also I would try and define the control surfaces on the outer wings and tail plane more effectively. On the real jumbos you can quite easily see the elevators and outer ailerons from such an angle. |

Thx Denodon for your comments. Since the drawing concerns an airplane, I propose we go further here : http://www.shipbucket.com/forums/viewto ... =20&t=4393 |

Welcome aboard, DeepHalo. It's good to see (some) of beginners have talent and ready.Already See, in the old days (means few years ago) there were only modest and poorly drawn ships... Fortunately those have been deleted |

Welcome to the Shipbucket! It's a nice start, though I would like to point out to certain issues: -I think You could try to work more on the shading in places like leading edges, -it seems that there's no "underwing" shade on the fuselage/wing roots, -I have some doubts about the shape of the engine pylons - inner is weirdly bent "upwards" in the rear part, while the outer looks like the wing profile was completely flat on the bottom side. |
