Credit to various artists for the CIWS, radar units, and other various small parts.
I know it's a little plain, but, how is it?

2 things:
- nobody will comment if you do not comment as we require, on the drawing, the correct artists.
- photobucket resized your image, look here how to fix that:

the stuff I used came from parts sheets. How do I credit those?

you don't have to credit stuff from the parts sheets.
but, you are not gonna tell me that for example the elevators, the stern underwater hull and part of the bridge structure came of the parts sheets, nor that you have drawn those yourself. IIRC, these all came from the USN carrier drawings on the main site.

when the internet here stops being a bitch, I'll reupload, as well as the comparison of the ship I based it off. I took the Nimitz, did my outline of it, then, edited the outline to make a different ship. The island and the screws are closest to original. The elevators I drew with alot of influence from the others.

My apologies, but, credit to Crazy Horse.

Yeah, I think in this case it's prudent to credit Crazy Horse before your name. If you modify the drawing to the point where the original USN carrier isn't present, then it can become your own drawing.

Okay, thanks for the heads up. Would I still need to credit if I changed the island, rudder, and screws? Because, without those, the ship (minus template parts) is my drawing, based on the shape of the Nimitz.

And, is it a plausible design?

well........
the underwater hull looks more or less good, but:
- the bow needs some work
- I have never seen an bilge keel like that, wider at the ends then in the middle.
- propellers are mostly drawn with grey outlines here.

the hull above that needs some work too, as there are openings just above the waterline (flooded and sunk by it's own bow wave..... doesn't sound good :P) and on places where there can't be decks.
also, there seems to be an lack of sponsons for the flight deck, which because of that appears to be quite narrow.

radars, fire control and weapons:
- you have an 3 british, an american and an unknown to me radar on top of your bridge.
- you also have 2 american sea sparrow directors, one dutch STIR, and an unknown to me director on your structure.
- your weapons on board are an CIWS which looks like an (dutch) goalkeeper (but not entirely, have you drawn it yourself?) french crotale missiles and of course your aircraft.

do you see the problem? the systems don't really fit each other.

drawing wise it looks not bad, although you have no shading at all (check the shipbucket guidelines for that) and quite a few of your parts are drawings we have already replaced by more accurate ones.

well, hope this helps to improve. note that carriers are the hardest ships ever to draw, maybe begin with something smaller and simpler like an frigate first and use the beginners guide (here http://www.shipbucket.com/forums/viewto ... ead#unread) to learn how to design ships.

Yeah, I know I haven't shaded, but, for the parts mixture. Daemyrs is a fictional nation in a world which does not have the U.S., U.K., or any other existing nations. And that CIWS is Chinese, IIRC.

I understand that, but the fact remains that these parts don't work together. especially weapons and directors often have an direct connection. also, some of your search radars are working on the same frequenties or doing the same job. my motto on stuff like this is to always know what an system is and does before you place it..... which is why I know lots of the stuff you have on board.
