LOA: 274 ft

Weapons:
-MK 41 VLS Tac Length (16 Cell)
-76mm OTO
-2x RAM Launchers
-2x 25mm Typhoons
-6x M2 Heavy Machine Guns

AEGIS Control System with SPY1-K radars

Carries 1 Lynx in a telescopic hanger.
2x 7m RHIB

This ship is meant to be a cheaper alternative to the LCS program with mainly an AAW threat environment. Top speed to be around 25-27 knots with 2 diesels driving a single screw. In a fleet this ship's weapons are to be taken over by a lager ship (DDG/CG) and used as another launcher. While control of vessel self-defense would remain on board. In anti-Piracy operations a group of these ships could cover more area for the same cost of a single DDG.

This is my first design so I'll take all the feedback I can get.

Hi, welcome to Shipbucket. Not a bad start but...

This is well worth readinghttp://www.shipbucket.com/forums/viewto ... f=5&t=3287

I think the ship is top heavy and there are too many portholes which are not SB standard. My advice to you is to start with a real life ship that you have good references for. I think its the best way to learn. :)

Welcome to the Shipubcket. :)
It's indeed not a bad start, but it's too top heavy (too tall superstructure, VLS too high), AEGIS is not a proper equipment for a corvette (together with Standard missile) and I'm not sure about rest of electronics (but there are many people here more knowledgeable about that than me). Plus the portholes are non-standard and they should have the same colour as windows on the bridge.

Look at this, for example:

And indeed, starting with real-life ship is perhaps the best idea for the beginning.

Welcome aboard, and congratulations on your first post.
Two things First read the rules as outlined HERE, besides reading what's on the above mentioned thread.
Second and most importantly, save your drawings as .PNG using some freehost service like Photobucket (hence Shipbucket), Imageshack, Majhost, or Dropbox.

It looks good so far... But is it just me or is the color little bit weird.
On the other hand looks good, Just make sure the windows are the same color for all the windows.
