Well, seeing that people have posted ships Inutoland has made in this thread before, I decided to post ships he made for my nation too to see if they have any large mistakes. I admit that I'm totally incapable of doing lineart (I'm good at making flags and coats of arms though, check out my NSwiki), so I honestly have no idea if they're well designed or not.. So, give me some opinions please! Displacement: 100,000 tonnes Length: 298m Beam: 80m Draught: 12.5m Crew: 3,200 officers and crew, plus 2,400 air crew and support personnel Propulsion: 2x "Sunstar" nuclear reactors, 4x steam turbines<br> 4x shafts Max Speed: 32 knots Air power: Up to 88 fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters Sensor systems: -"Tesseract" 3D radar -Fire control radar -Air traffic control radars -Air serarch radars -"Seahorse" Shipboard system Armament: -4x 127mm naval guns -18x box launchers for "Standard" SAM -12x box launchers for "Seawolf" SAM -8x Phalanx CIWS turrets -"Triton" torpedo countermeasures package Armor: 65mm Dyneema over ship's vitals Displacement: 42,000 tonnes Length: 243m Beam: 33.4m Draught: 8.3m Crew: 1,200 officers and crew, plus 1,890 Marine detachment Propulsion: "Sunstar" nuclear reactor, 2x steam turbines, 2x shafts Max Speed: 22,5 knots Amphibious power: Combination of up to 3x LCAC or up to 12x mechanised landing craft. I think my main concerns would be the Mk.26's on top of the conning tower, and the location of some of the CIWS and BPDMS systems. While the Phalanx is a "plug-n-play" in effect, with no deck penetration, Mk.26 launchers, just like VLS launchers, require considerable below decks space. |

Tell Inutoland that he cannot put "Copyright Inutoland". |

an example would be this (just a quick axe job to move a couple things and remove a couple things) Something that always needs to be taken into consideration is how much deck penetration any given gun turret or missile system has, where the engines are, crew accomodations, etc. There is alot going on in ships that can't be seem from the outside. |

Hippo, these are your ships correct? When I get to a real computer (rather than my tablet), would you like me to split this off so you can get the help in your own thread? |

These are my ships.. As in, they are operated by my NS nation, but I have not created them myself. As I mentioned earlier, I have barely any experience in lineart (though I'm planning to start practicing ship drawing once my exams end in May), Inutoland kindly created those ships for me.When I get to a real computer (rather than my tablet), would you like me to split this off so you can get the help in your own thread? So I don't think I need my own thread. At least, not for now. |

Question, Why does your aircraft carrier need 5inch Guns? Planning on having her sail in and do shore bombardment? If that is in fact the case, what do you think aircraft are for? It is an AIRCRAFT carrier, it has AIRCRAFT on it. AIRCRAFT can do all the things the 5inch gun can do a million times better. Also, judging by your drawing, you have them mounted on appendages jutting out from the sides of the ship, you can't do this because there is no room for the magazines. |

Thats already been covered for this one, and the rest will be having some alterations as well. And they are called sponsons, not appendages.

Alright, I appreciate your advice; I've removed the naval guns from the Merina and Amanda, and removed some missiles from the Amanda too. Is there anything wrong with the Providence class or the Waverley class though?

They were meant to help with its air defense and/or provide some anti-surface weaponry in an emergency. But yeah, they're gone now.
