Hey, Im new to ship bucket and im starting to like it. Im working on my first ship... I used the GB Rolls-Royce P2500 Intra-Theater Logistics Vessel as a template. It will be based in the future so it will have some pretty steep angles and some wierd looking equiptment. It will be done soon. |

Another point, use the most up-to date parts (found on the parts sheets section in the forum, not the equipment sheet) |

Thanks for the advice, I made sure to credit properly, I just wish that we had parts sheets that were made to include dates as well. Im messing around with the parts to make them look more "future' looking. |

I think for the most part because we're assuming that the person using the part has done his research. I'm inclined to agree with you - but on the other hand I like the idea of forcing someone to do research. It's how I became a better drawer, and I see it with other people too.

I wouldnt mind doing it myself accualy doing it but the problem is that most dont have names so i cant do reseach to put them into correct catagories. |

This is because, contrary to popular belief, Shipbucket is not a lego set for you to play with. Rather it's a uniform scale and style that we draw ships in. The standardized parts are a bonus, but you are expected to know what each part is and what it does. Don't know what a radar is because it's not labelled? Find a version of it on a ship in the archive, look that ship up in a book or wikipedia, and find out what radar it is. Or just ask... surely someone will know. |

also, take an look at the newer part sheets on the forum instead of only the ones on the main site, as the dutch, russian, USN and british sheets all have their systems labeled at least somewhat. |
