This was what the "HMS Stupidhuge" was originally supposed to resemble. I've gone back at it with a better idea of how ships actually work, as well as what I really wanted to do. Better lines IMO, and far less "stupid huge". I'm not close to finishing it yet, and wanted to post it before It's done to get advice as I go about doing it. It is supposed to be a dreadnought era ship, about 1910ish. |

The good news is that you do not have deck penetration as a concern! |

Well its a good start but your stern rise is pretty huge considering the length and your funnel arrangement suggests that there are boilers under the bridge |

your funnel arrangement suggests that there are boilers under the bridge
...which actually wasn't that uncommon.

If you flatten out the rise at the stern, shorten the unused space at the stern and move the bridge area back a bit, she will have some very handsome lines about her! |

Thanks for the comments everyone! I've taken everyone's suggestions into account: The superstructure has been shifted towards the stern, and the stern rise has been lessened. I also took the liberty of shortening the ship, as it seemed a bit top-heavy to me. All in all a rather major update: |

Now that is coming along nicely I'm not sure if the mast being behind a funnel could be a problem? Though looking around at some ships of that era it seems it was still done. |

I have posted in the parts section a Victorian/Edwardian boat sheet. Use those on your ship! It's very, very nice! |
