I estimate my first ever Shipbucket ship from scratch is almost halfway complete!

Here she is, mastless, boatless and blind so far, missing most details...

EDIT - Hidden in shame until tomorrow thanks to graham's excellent donation of drawings.

That is a peculiar color for a ship, it looks pinkish on my monitor.

Nice to see some one doing the FIJIs, if I may be so bold as to offer a few corrections, the main turrests you have drawn are twins MkXXI you should be using MKXXIII triples also the you are using 4.7 "" instead of 4" But I am glad that some one is doing a FIJI happy to help in any way.
Graham
here are some Doimeny drawings that should help

It's pink on my screen too! Besides, if it's a real life design, it should not be called 'Crown Colony-class. I don't know either if it's already done (as Fiji, Mauritius, Gambia or something) but if not a good start, just fix the color issue.

The color is correct (or correctish - there are no surviving color photos apparently). It is a ship that is secure in her masculinity. The other mistakes, though!

My source material was not the greatest. Thanks graham! That made my day and taught me not to read Roman numerals without a good night's sleep! And the other little details...ugh.

I'll get it shipshape as soon as I can!

Alas I can't see the drawing now. I know that one of the Mediterranean Fleet cruisers was in fact painted in the Mountbatten Pink, which one I can't recall. The color itself is a more grayish variation on the lavender color of the Union Castle Lines ships, an example of which can be found Here

Also be advised that Hood has drawn most of the small parts for this ship.
