Continuing with my drawing spree, I present to you, the first official warship of my AU(Gotrige)!
Some parts have been taken from other's drawings, mainly small parts, and most have been modifyed in some manor. Psilander and Jabba, if I remember correctly. Credit?
The CoA was made by reworking Bezobrazovs excellent badge for HMS Göta Lejon.

It would be better if you tried 3x3 16''.
As it was more or less the layout of all battleships with 16'' guns.

No it wasn't. In fact the only 16in battleships laid down between 1918 and 1934 that had triple turrets were the Nelson class.
The two fore and one aft 3x3 layout didn't come about till 1937 and USA was the only one who built 16in ships with it.

Not at this time... of the three classes mounting 16" guns in the world at the time of it's launch, only the Nelsons carried tripples. The japanese Nagatos and the American Colorados both used four doubles. That's only two of seven, not nearly "all".
The actuall reason though, was that I didn't wan't to bring her quite up to super-power armament standard(ironic, I know)in numbers. I wanted 16" guns, but felt that six was adequate.
IF I gun her up, however, it will probably be with two tripples with a double superfiring. I might sound childish, but I'm really bored with the standard 3x3 turret arangement, and will avoid using it as far as I can.

If you did that it would be like my Super-Dreadnought.

Except this isn't completely stupid.

Well, its actually really nice start. I see a few things, but you can choose to ignore these suggestions:
-Thin out the armor belt. It kind of rises far up on the above-water hull.
-Check the length of the main guns
-(Maybe?) add a forward mast
-Add another funnel
-The bow looks a little advanced for the period. Its quite similar to the KGV class of the mid-late thirties.

No... I've never seen you superdreadnought(link?), so that is a misstatement. Plus, you haven't got any copyright on any turret arrangement whatsoever(NO ONE HAS!). And if we're playing that game, I might add that all your designs featuring a 4x2 arrangement is just a ripoff of the South Carolina class dreadnought! Please APDAF, do not say anything unless you have anything to say.

Am I to take it my design is slightly stupid? ;)

- The armour belt is easy-do.
- Are the barrels too long or too short?
- A forward mast will not be included. The entire superstructure is based of the Nelsons', and I wan't to keep it that way.
- An extra funnel... maybe. I will do one and see what it looks like.
- I will se what I can do about the bow. I make no promises tough.

Feast your eyes on insanity

Long. Right now they are longer than a 16"/50

You're going to need one though. Either that or a much taller superstructure. Even Nelson had one, albeit a wee one.
KHT wrote:

You''ll either need a second one or a bigger one. I'd also make it a bit taller. A following wind will blanket the fore director.
