For a while I have been looking for well drawn Great Lakes freighter profiles. Unfortunately I was unable to find exactly what I was looking. While I was searching around for those drawings I came across ShipBucket and found some freighter drawings here. I began to mess around with the drawings that I found on this site and made small changes to them. After practice editing previously drawn drawings I finally decided to try an original drawing. Some of my favorite freighters are the 1960's Canadian freighters. I decided that I would start to draw these 1960's Canadian freighters. To start off the series of 60's freighters I began with 1960. Although not originally built in 1960, the Red Wing was rebuilt from a 1940s military tanker to a Great Lakes bulk carrier in 1960. Here is my first attempted at a ShipBucket drawing. I am sure there are details that I missed but as time passes I will find those small details and fix them.

A very good start. The lack of anti-fouling paint is a bit odd though.

It's a fresh-water ship! The anti-fouling needs are non-zero, but they're very different from usual salt-water shipping.

Very nice. The few changes I would make are to the windows (I'd make them all Shipbucket standard blue), the boat cranes just a pixel wider, and I'd adjust the shading on all faces that curve away from the viewer to lighter rather than darker shades of the background color. All in all a fine start.

I would add no shading on windows...
BTW a good start!

Excellent start. Aside from what was previously mentioned, the words "Red Wing" look a little fuzzy, I suggest using a font WhyMe posted in parts. Here is the thread: http://shipbucket.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=700
