Hey all,

I'm new here, and I love your site! I've been working on a few ships from here, but since I've been using a lot of your parts sheets and cannibalising pieces of various ships, I wanted to show some of my work to you just to run it by you all and check it's all above board.

Below is a destroyer. This is a staple air defense frigate - thoughts?

Thanks - how do I go about doing that?

Whoever's parts, hulls, whatever you have used, put their name in the top right (As well as your own) in brackets. So if I did a project with Thiel, it would be

(Thiel & barnest2)

in the top right.

Ta - I think I'll just start the whole thing off again to be honest. It would be easier and I could get the crediting done whilst I do it.

I'm looking for a fast missile destroyer with stealth features - so I'll be looking for the de provincen or daring class hulls?

Well what you have looks... fine. It just has problems that remove it's status as shipbucket style

She look too short and squat.
To approach SB standards you will need to place credits (in the correct fashion) at the top right of the drawing. The scale bar goes aove the drawing, and the "artwork" you have on the left should be removed or re-located to the right (if it is the ship's badge)
All the information can be written down in the thread or you should make a B-side
A look at the archive wwill give you some idea on how to go about it.
Any way, not to discourage a new member I wellcome you aboard.

So I guess I can still build ships by cannibalising, but I just pop the name of the person who did the ship I'm taking stuff from in the relevant area on the template?

Thanks for the welcome all!

For my micronational fleet, I'm going to (re)do the following (credited this time):

>Heavy missile cruiser (think Kirov)
>Light missile cruiser (think Slava/Udaloy)
>AA destroyer (think type 45)
>Fleet escort frigate/light frigate
>Aircraft carrier
>Attack Ekranoplans (I'll post one of these later - they're original and kosher)
>Ekranoplan tender (a novel system for transporting Ekranoplans)
>Coastal defense missile hydrofoil

Some of my ships will include some micronational elements that may irritate people (such as the y-7 borg-offenbach fusion power naval reactor), but generally, they're nothing too outlandish.

Do the mods mind if I use this thread to update with my new designs?

My new version of the Provinz II class thus far. The key piece of kit is the 'sea viper'/PAAMs system. This thing is intended to be long range and high endurance, however, so I'm wondering if for that purpose I should have SAMPSON or EMPAR air radar?

The PAAMs can be used for BGM-109 tomahawks, yes?
