This is a little light cruiser I've been working on for a while.

I'm not done yet so there are no railings or anything. I don't know much about radars and gun directors so it probably look rather bad at the moment. :oops:

it's not that bad, actually! I don't know much about this time era, but her lines look ok and the detailing is not bad. I am only wondering if those torpedo tubes could not better be placed on the centerline, and if you haven't added too much secondaries. also, you have situated quite a few guns on platforms and sponsons: don't forget that you'll need space underneath them for the ammo lifts and all.

btw, don't forget searchlights and sloops.

Good point. I should probably add a seaplane too once I get rid of some of that top weight.

Damn good start... few minor niggles though:
1. Somewhat mixed up light AA armourment... You've got both 20mm Oerlikons and whatever that twin/quad mounts atop B and X turrets are.
2. Heavy/Medium AA is on the heavy side for a modest sized cruiser. 18 4in HA/LA guns and what I think are 15 3in mounts (not sure it they are meant to be singles or twins...)... I'd drop at least the stern most 4in mount and possibly think of dropping another two mounts (reducing total AA to 12 4in guns). Likewise, the 3in mount could probably either be reduced in number or swapped for 40mm Bofors.

Wow wow wow, hold on. I never even saw this one before. I have been working on my drawing for a very long time and am in no way trying to degrade what other people have done, I just wanted to see what I should change before I finish it. I have put a lot of effort into my drawing and I'm sure Carnac has worked hard on his too.

Anyway, here is my updated version:

I still have no clue what I should do about the radars. I tried cleaning them up a bit but now I'm not sure if a have a full fit (like air search, surface search, fire control etc...). Also, I'm wondering if I should make the hull longer to make it speedier since its meant to be a patrol/ scout cruiser.

The one at the bow? I know I not sure about it either but I like how some american designs have aa guns way forward so I'm trying to replicate that. I think I will also delete a few of the 40mm around the bridge since it looks a bit cramped.
