Greetings all!

I only noticed this site today whilst browsing through pictures and old documents, looks great!

I used to do something like this when I was younger using MS Paint on my dad's old Amstrad, now I'm giving it another go...

I've chosen to have a go at HMS Belfast as I can't see one on the site, and I have an interest in the history of this ship. Also, I went past it twice a day on the way to work for a few months last year, so I should get it right!!!

Anyway, this is how far I've got. I'm working from dodgy side-view diagram and couple of photos a took last summer. Whaddya think so far?

Dang, I never saw that one!!! Looks good!

I'm doing it as it looks now, so without planes, lifeboats and with the closed bridge, different mast and newer AA armament.

I am already drawing this ship:

And I will be doing all versions, including the modernised.

Can we (instead) encourage you to take on one of the countless other ships not yet drawn? ;)

If he likes this ship, he can try to learn drawing from it.
And look at yourse for reference how it can be...

That's how i learned to draw, and the ship sailed to the good direction ;)

when you post the new WIP, delete the previous attachments or switch to use outside imagehosting services.

Totally agree! The best way to get better is to see how others draw their ships and then try to incorporate the diffrent styles into your own drawing.

I'm going to finish this version as it is, then move on to something different. I was going to do the WWII versions when I had finished, but then someone showed me your thread :(

'Cause I've spent some time on this one, I do want to finish it. I'm going to make it independently though, and only look at yours when I'm finished. It will be interesting to compare my work to someone who is more experienced at this than me.

Haha, I thought I was bringing something new to the forum  hope you dont mind!
