It's quite nice start. I don't see any big problems with it. Just some excess of black (double black lines) in some places - on the mainmast, where the vertical pole meets the slanted one (neat the bottom of the crow's nest) and around davits (overlapping with boats - their keels don't need to be separated from the rest of the boat with black line - dark contour of appropriate shade suffices), maybe in one or two other places. Perhaps some minor details could be added (more cleats and bitts, capstans etc. etc.). But otherwise a quite good work for a first attempt. |

Welcome aboard. Nice work. eswube has mentioned some good pointers to work on, you also might want to use a double-pixel thickness shading underneath the larger overhanging platforms. I would also be tempted to move the Asdic further aft from the bows, located there is would be prone to 'slamming' from the bows in heavy seas. Other than that, this looks pretty good. |
