Why would you want a parachute at the end of a bomb? Especially one this big? Wouldn't that slow down enought to shoot (and therefore detonate harmlessly in midair) with the target's AA guns?

Either that, or (if the blast is big enough) the bomber would get caught in the fireball.

Why don't you just fit it with the JDAM tail kit? You already have H-Bombs / Fission Bombs in the early 20th century, you might as well go the whole nine yards and use non existent satellites to guide them. Oh it isn't attached to the aircraft either.

the bomb is designed to detonate underground and it needs to be at certain angle and hit soft ground in order to burrow to detonation depth.
