It may just be me but some bits look very stealth (like DDG1000 levels the heavily sloping superstructure for instance) and others don't (the harpoon tubes, gun, funnel) I think you need to go one way or the other as no point spending cash and space to get stealth if other parts let it down.
Is their any point raising up the 25mm and torps ?

That doesn't look like a Oto Melara gun, in fact I'm not even sure they make 25mm naval artillery

Also unless the bow has a lot of flare, the anchor looks like it could hit/snag the radar dome

Also I think the Broomstick Radar is rather superseded by the I-mast
KBA whilst not an Oto Melara gun is offered in a mount by them and is indeed 25mm. As is Marlin.

With regards to the current drawing. I agree with JSB you've got some weird mishmash of eras and concepts going on. You have cold war era radar sets mixed with contemporary integrated masts, well sloped surfaces implying some measure of signature reduction and a bloody landing craft on the quarter deck!

I decided to remove the smokestack and make the ship nuclear.

That, frankly is a ludicrous statement. You don't just decide to make a ship "nuclear" or conventional.

How? I wasn't able to instal the smart L unless i made major changes so nuclear would be a better idea

''lets just double the cost (? no idea but will be huge ?) and totally redesign the ships just because the flag pole doesn't fit !''

This is a bit of a joke but I hope you get my point, going nuclear is a major change and one at the start of the design (ie you need it to escort a nuclear CV group etc = need unlimited range) NOT something you do to make radar fit better. (you should redo the superstructure design ;) )

Quite simply, it appears you don't have a clue what you really want from the design.
Quote:
job: escort aircraft carriers and battleships, important cargo, etc.
Built: modern time- 2014+
budget: $3.5 billion
threats: aircraft, subs, fast attack craft, missiles, etc
That doesn't really sum it up very well, nor does anything past that. If you really want to end up with something workable or at least plausible I'd take on-board everything said to you by people such as acelanceloet, Rodondo, JSB and myself.

nuclear reactors are heavy. your ship would grow to the size of the USS bainbridge.

there is also no nuclear ship so far that ships the SMART-L, so it should be possible to equip it without any problems for you as well.

I want to give the ship electronic warfare capabilities. I know very little about them. Can you help? i only know the SLQ-32 from the US.
