He'll probably only need to use one weapon at a time. Why not save on a few tonnes here and there?
A complete Matador installation weighs about fifty kilos or so, including the unit itself, the necessary converter boxes and wiring.
Had we been talking several tons, then I'd agree with you, fifty or even 100 kilos are negligible in the greater scheme.
Plus, it doubles as a FLIR, which is very good for SAR.
