Sea-MLRS isn't good?

btw, could you post a list of the missiles you decided on? or put them on the drawing already? that way I can see if it will all work out
To summarize:

---Sea Eagle
---Some cruise missile, not sure which one
---K-ASROC
---Aster 15
---Aster 30
---TMS-27
---SeaMLRS (Yeah, that one will have to go)
---RAM

MLRS = ?
I only know that that laucher is fugly, and that if no VLS version is developed that missile is most likely outdated or that there are other systems which work just as good.
will look into the rest later, have to search if they all fit in an VLS or that we need other launchers as well.

MLRS: Unguided missiles meant for land attacks. More commonly known as rocket artillery. I don't think they fit in a vertical launcher though; it's an unguided missile.

I don't know it it's good on ships, but I thought the extra power would be okay. After all, nothing says "go to hell" like 12 long range missiles with thermobaric cluster warheads. ;-) But it's probably unneeded.

hmmm. I would say you would better use cruise missiles for that role these days ;)
btw, I am looking forward to see what you come up with with the basic plan I 'sketched' yesterday

I wanted to evade cruise missiles for land attack because of the cost involved with them (AKA 100.000 dollar missile to destroy a 1.000 dollar plane, etc...) But I'm not sure if that was my best choice.

So this is the basic layout. I couldn't do the superstructure yet because I thought we had to change something with the CIWS positions as well. But other than that this does show where every part will go.

Or do you wanted me to do some of the deck too?

Is that a Z-drive? Those things can't handle more than maybe 400kWs apiece.

it's an azimuth...... I drew it to have an a small as possible pod which could rotate IF the ship had to make sharp turns......
