Mike, I know English is not your first language, but can you please try that again? I assume you're trying to communicate with me, but all I see is a pile of HTML and a pile of smiley faces that don't have any intrinsic or explicit meaning.

any good reasons why? the japanese did it with their Kongo class (well, they went for 30+ knots on an increased displacement and an less ideal hull shape)
of course, the japanese had an completely different reason to do so (rebuilding these was a lot cheaper then building new ships in the low-resource Japan) but I'd like better reasoning then 'too expensive' when somebody at least thought it doable. trying out for the sake of experiment seems a good thing, we can keep in mind that it would never happen in real life but it is not impossible.

Ok Jabba, (now with a much bigger appreciation of your hard work) I have started my tiger 1924, my WIP(!) to get feedback so I can change stuff before I spend to much time doing stuff like rigging etc.

a few q's I used Colombamike page for the info but tried to keep as much of Jabbas work should I redo the cranes or just leave them at the same angle as in Jabbas (they are unchanged just at different angles I think)? also the top /side view have different number of ships boats should I do more or less ?

Thanks JSB

Re: Shipsboats: peace time service always, as a rule saw the boat complement either restored to peacetime levels or even, at times increased! As for boats, I've drawn nearly all pertinent ships' boats you may need. Should be found in out parts thread. Use them, since they're based on blueprints and photos.

Hi,
thanks yes I found your, 'Ships Boats of the RN and Associated Navies' post (I hope that the right one are there any others ?) but cant decide what boat tiger had so made myself one (loosely based on your 50f SP hull but with a deck to match the tiger diagram by Colombamike ) and painted it to match other RN 20's ships boats from the archive (should I change it ?). may hang the smaller boats in the diagram as well as you say it is peace time.

You have to realize that such diagrams are only useful as long as you compare them with photos or your own live observations of the object you're trying to depict. My boats are based on official blueprints, but, most importantly, on photographic evidence. Of course, you may use whatever boats or equipment as suits you.
As a matter of fact, I have, myself, encountered this problem of when a diagram, line drawing etc doesn't quite match up with photographic evidence. I always, in such cases, rely on the photos...

Not sure what to say Colombamike so I will stick to Amazing :D (now if only shipbucket was right to left ;) ).

bezobrazov thanks for the tips, my main problem is a lack of many photos (or your own live observations  sorry not that old).

If anybody knows any other good links feel free to offer im going to pause to go search for some more pics it should make this much easyer and more accurate.
Thanks JSB
