may I say that basically every member on here has learned to draw ships by drawing real ships? the fact that you don't have to think and design but instead just draw makes you understand the lines and designs of ships and at the same time our style, while the research you have to do before you start drawing helps you to understand what each part does.

if you are not going to start with real ships (most people don't, while experience learns most people should) the 2 above links go to tutorials in shipbucket and ship design respectively. these also have links to the newest part sheets.
