Well, I for one would like to hold of at the AU discussion for now: the ship is what's important for now.
Wouldn't that cause more problem, ie. getting them into the water?
Swap them into what, any suggestions?
Not with a long crane like that.
Otherwise, if that isn't to your liking, I would suggest raising the deck there, and then make a "dip" into the superstructure to accommodate for said boat.
Well, you're free to use another one of my drawings.
Otherwise, you can always search the parts sheets. Word of warning though, I suggest you search the forum, and not the main site for the parts sheets, since the ones on the main site hasn't been updated for a while.
And, you can of cource look at other battleships and scavange them for boats. I think it's safe to say that's what we all did at the start.
This isn't particularly "historical" nor "realistic" (technically, the GDH is a 21st century country still stuck, at best, in the 1950s. With, of course, a mindset from the 1910s!). The current quads are 30mm, what caliber should the other guns be? I'm not sure where'd I place larger caliber AA's
Ok, I won't comment on the "historical" part in that case, but people probably will, just so you know. Know that this might become messy, becouse people at the 'bucket don't usually take kindly to mixing eras, so it's always preferable to stay in one historical period.
But, back to the AA calibre. If you use 30mm, I'd suggest 20mm as a smaller caliber, probably in twin mounts. Possibly throw in a doozen 75mm guns, but it's deffinately not necessary. And for placement: Anywhere you can fit them! Many ships had at least one AA gun fittet to the top of the B and X turrets of the main artillery. One could always place a multitude of them on the deck, and so on.
