I don't know the original, but at a first glance it looks rather nice. :)
I have, however, some remarks
-railings shouldn't be black, but grey, spaces between their level bars should be 2 pixels, and between vertical bars 5 pixels,
-umbrella-shaped radar (?) should be rather more boxy (black contour, with one line of grey in the middle), and You should rather avoid double black line at it's base,
-there should be shading under the deck overhang.

For naming the vessel, try using Arial 11, and for author Arial 8
(if you are using Paint)
When you render the drawing in the template, and you have a flag at the stern, the most aft part of it, must coincide with the begining of the metric bar on top of the ship (in your case the metric bar begining, falls where the stern of the ship is). The metric bar on top, is a reference for the whole drawing, not only for the super structure of the ship.

Pretty nice drawing, though.
;)

Thanks for the suggestions! I will post the updated yacht and background later today. On the note of the railing I didn't realize it until you had brung it up. I guess I was following the reference drawing to close. :D Another thing, are we allowed to post yachts because I feel most of my drawings are going to be yachts?

Well yachts are simply another form or type of ships, so there isn`t any problem with that. Besides, many around here have posted yachts before, and of course will do in the future as well.

For parts, you can always refer yourself to the parts sheet available and the respective forum, but if you feel you can represent them better, go ahead and do it. If not accepted, afterwards by the rest, they will tell you to make the necessary adjustments to your drawing.

Certainly draw yachts they're as under represented as the Imperial Japan....
As Marine Nationa....
As the Pola....

As the US Maritime Fleet.

Add one line of green at the left of the italian flag and you may have you're drawing in the correct place, in relation to the metric bar, as the whole drawing is still displaced, this time its one pixel to the right (it would be better to displace the whole drawing one pixel to the left though). Apart, this time you put the drawing in a higher position within the Template, which in this case I believe it is the S1 (1000 x 330), which doesn`t consider low hull of the ship, but you must put the hull`s drawing right above the ficticious line contemplated in the respective template, for what would be the water line. (remember this rules about templates can be judged almost as them being foolish, but they are standard for everyone, so everybody without exception, must comply 100 % to them).

About the rest of the drawing, although for the railings I would prefer a lighter color of gray, it is looking perfect (at least at my eyes, which unfortunately aren`t working as they used to be, last century, )

;)

I changed the color of the railings and moved the ship to the correct position.
