I'll say regardless of ColombiaMike's comments it's a mighty fine ship now and would be a proud addition to the CN.

colombimike, nav radars are needed even if you have an stealth warship, even if you have an APAR on board (look at the lcf). the same counts for satcoms. you could replace them with fixed an flat equipment, but then you get an ugly warship like zumwalt.

your bow has the problem the fire from missile launch and the water coming over the bow in heavy weather is trapped on the bow. because of that, I have chosen for an solid railing on the bow and an normal one next to the vls and the structure (again, a bit stolen from lcf) on the other points I refer to PC, as I haven't changed anything from that (except the torpedo tubes, I thought they could better be at the same deck level as the RHIB bay, but I might be wrong about that)

I know the bow is not "stealthy" but it will better handle big water with the length and flared solid rail. The gun was moved forward to provide some improvement to the field of fire and to provide the VLS some shelter. I'll miss the battleship bow but this works better, thanks MC, K ,& Ace. The helideck and hangar were moved up one level to allow room below for the torpedoes and Rhib.

Well the Canadians have always put seaworthiness as one prime factor in design. That is why they went away from the basic RN designs offered to them in the 1950s unlike the rest of the Commonwealth.

You might consider covered anchors too. Wht the weird guns in the transom? Why the weird deck levels, really folks need to think more about internal space and deck arrangement. Hardly any of the decks line up with any other. Still barring these few concerns the ship has come a long way.

please use the liferaft position I did.... this one is still wrong. I am not really an fan of this last design (liked the one I made the changes on more) and your missiles are all out of place.

take a look at your deck arrangement, remove all useless stuff, add an navigation radar at the hangar and move the liferafts a bit, and then I think you are close to finishing it.

(btw you will need an larger anchor for this ship)

The deck levels have been cleaned up, the life rafts are now correct, I've added a weapons list, and my wife is wondering why some guy living in the midst of all this Prairie is spending hours drawing ships on the PC. ;)
Is there too many missiles? Yes but this will be the Flagship of the fleet and along with her 2 sisters ships it'll give Canada a strong presence wherever she sails. The dozen follow-up Frigates will be slightly shorter, have only one helicopter, have 32 ESSM, 8 ASROC, and 8 Harpoons but no Tomahawks or SM3 or SM2. They'll concentrate on the ASW and escort.
In reality when Canada does build ships they will likely fall short of my wishful design's weapons but I am hopeful the ship themselves will continue to be as innovative as the Cadilacs, Iroquois and Halifax were when they were first built.

Should most of the in-between drawings on this thread be deleted to make some space? I just went through this and see that I've posted quite a few. Sorry, I'll make an effort to reduce the amount of times I post drawings.

I'll leave it to the moderators.

No, you're fine; it isn't folk posting drawings that is a problem, or giving good criticism of the same; so keep on with it.

it looks good. use the new oto 127 and then it is perfect, IMO. btw, don't make the mistake of using the APAR on your frigates, it is way to expensive for an non-air defence ship.
