I just wish that we had parts sheets that were made to include dates as well.
I think for the most part because we're assuming that the person using the part has done his research. I'm inclined to agree with you - but on the other hand
I like the idea of forcing someone to do research. It's how I became a better drawer, and I see it with other people too.
Thats very true. I've learned more about those abominations called "radar" in since I've started here than I have in the past 40 years of studying ships, and having to look up each type as I put it on a ship to see when it came into service, what it was used for exactly, etc, etc, has been quite beneficial and improved my drawings.
