I reworked the mast a lot for some reason, mostly asthetics. It's now more similar to Gotland's after her modernisation in 1944.
However, since I'm not done with the other details, I'm just posting a smaller picture of an idea I got, instead of using an aft mast(I don't like the thought of two masts on this). This won't probably get good response, but I might as well try it. It's essentially a very small, very tilting mini-mast put on the top back side of the aft funnel.
Good? Bad?

It's an efficient enough aerial spreader, which were quite common then, and later.

Excellent.
Then here it is:

The planes still feel a bit scruffy-looking, but I really suck at flying vessels.

I like it. Looks like a usable scout for battlefleets.

Interesting design I'll have to say. How many of these would be built? They look like they could lend themselves well to submarine tenders or numerous other support vessels with an aft deck like that.

Thanks. And two were built. In the mid-50s they were partly disarmed, but in 1960 they were recommissioned, with plans to rebuild them for helicopters instead of planes. Those plans were soon scrapped however, due to the expense.
I've thought about making a sub-tender though, so I might use a third hull of this class for it.
It's going to be a long time until such a ship appears though. I have very little idea on how they look and what to be included. Not to mention I have three-four designs that I'm already completly cluttered up by! ;)

Ah alrighty. The sub tender would indeed be interesting. You'd need some heavy duty derricks for lifting torpedoes over to the submarine as well as fuel lines and store provisions. Sub tenders also often had limited repair capabilities so you might also want some smaller cranes for handling small steel sheets and/or other equipment.
