any advice on the shading and anything else is very much appreciated

Nice start, but I'd say that they are under-detailed (for example, cannon on Spj fm/43-44 looks very weird). Shading is also rather lacking - generally light should come from top-right, so things that are facing that direction (top and front) should be highlighted, and those opposite should be shadowed.

i got help whit the shading on the discord hopefully it looks better

There is an improvement, but one overall remark - if some area, that has no line marking break of the surface, but it has various shades on it, then it means that it's rounded - there are number of places like this, where I doubt if they are rounded.

here's two new M/38 and M/39 that hopefully looks better and should be the correct height. let me know if the shadings still not as it should

Seems better. :)
As for FM/43, on the current version, the side "wall" of the main casemate looks like it was slightly rounded along the top and rear edge, which IMHO wasn't the case. Generally it was that kind of things regarding shading that, especially in the first series You were doing too much. If some surface is flat, then it would be in only one shade (except something above it casts a shade, of course).

It wouldn't hurt if You tried to clear some heavy corners (on fm/43 they are particularly prominent near the cannon - though not only there), but otherwise looks ok. :)
