Historically, Nan Ning is a heavily modified Etorofu Class escort ship that was commissioned as a frigate in Chinese Navy.
In some alternative history, some of its weapons were replaced by British ones, and its superstructure went through a partial reconstruction.

To make it historical, I need to draw some soviet guns, continue to modify the superstructure, and recolor the entire ship.
