Hmm, assuming Tornado's drawing is correct then the model isn't the GW-96A Heavy Cruiser, though it's very similar. It could be an earlier version.
It's certainly an interesting design. (And it would leave the Big Gun fan club drooling)

That's what the caption says.

I'm not familiar with the RNs postwar cruiser program so I didn't draw the connection between the "1960 Large Cruiser design" and GW-96A Heavy Cruiser.

Be as may that "1960 Large cruiser design" is realy need to be updated to the current standard (mayby Hood will do it?)

Yes, this was the final design as far as I can remember; and it was very large, and without a hope of ever being built. I have done the 'Neptune' class modernised for the Grey Funnel line AU, which is of less displacement, but equally would never have been built. All these designs were the final throw of the RN to get a cruiser hull afloat postwar that could carry Seaslug and the 6-in twin automatic. And of course, in the end they compromised with the County class, not properly a cruiser due to a lack of command facilities, but a decent effort at getting the Seaslug on board.
