Designed by the same man who designed the ill-fated Morro Castle, this ship was supposed to have been the American answer to Germany's Bremen and Europa. Sadly, the design never got past the drawing boards. |

I've got a larger version of the profile that I scanned from "Damned by Destiny". I had planned on drawing her and several other ships from the book, but other work put the kibosh on that. |

Name of the designer is Theodore Ferris, who had also designed the type 1001 of wooden ships during WW1. BTW seems that two of his ships designed had burned: the Morro Castle and Lenape |
