I approve of this!

My concerns are going to be deck space (The OPC is spect to be able to keep 500 people on deck for 48 hours or 300 on deck for 120 hours), and hanger space (While the H-65 is the threshold for the design, an H-60 is the objective).

That said, she does have some nice lines.

X-bow strice again.

for those don't know that is a Norwegian design. (design owned by Ulstein, build by vigor... this is going to be interesting)

this was a serious proposal in my opinion. I would like to see someone team up with Daemon and offer the SIGMA

after what I understand, her hangar is big enough for the helicopter to have it rotors extended, inside the hangar! and the helo deck is a bit larger than normal.

Well the only companies that haven't announced partners are Bath, Bollinger, Eastern, Ingalls, Marinette, & NASSCO. Austal, BAE, Derecktor, & Signal have dropped out while Vigor is going with Ulstein and VT Halter Marine is going with DCNS. While it is possible that Damen gets involved I wouldn't bet the farm on it.

the fact that these ships will most likely (I would even call it certain due to their import policies) being build in the USA, with only the design work done by damen itself, I would say that for damen there is not much to gain here. if we had an design ready that fitted the specifications, but the holland lacks a few things as of now.

@C the sigma is just my current flavor of the month ship. practical and efficient and uses modern technology nothing "transformative" or "revolutionary" which is why i like it.

@ace the sentinel class cutter that was a damen design spec'd for USCG service.
