Ah, Abram's drawings! I had a nice discussion about them with him a year or two ago. He really does have some nice ideas and a really good talent for computer drawing!

Yeah, he was also quite nice about taking requests. I wasn't aware that he'd returned, though, as the last I knew about him he'd gone off-line for a while.

Also, would you happen to have a link to his website, if he has one?

I'm not sure, but here is a link to some of the ones that he had shared with me a few years ago In that section of that particular forum is also one of my threads that has a few more of his drawings, as well as some of my old free-hand drawings that I first tried to convert into Shipbucket style about a year ago. I'm just going to say that he was far superior.

I'd also like to point out that for some reason Abram Joslin insists on using an inaccurate superstructure and tower design.

The tower on Montana was going to be nothing like that on Iowa, being separate from the funnel, more like what was originally on North Carolina (I heard vibration problems was cited as a reason).

The drawing I posted is based on an official US Navy model of the Montana. I guess it`s as close to what she would look like as one can get.

The link doesn't work.

Friedman's Battleships has a plan prepared by A.D.Baker III that shows Montana as designed.

Have to agree with klag on the superstructure shape; but ultimately it's a never-built ship, so the bridge design is really up to the individual artist.

I think I like it better with the Iowa-like superstructure.
