I think it's one of the older destroyer tenders or submarine tenders, which one I don't know (Wikipedia it). |

Looks like a ship from the Ready Reserve Fleet or related, some ex-Merchant ship. I will have a look and revert. EDIT: if you look at the full-size picture on Flickr, you can read her name: DEL MONTE. Indeed a former merchant ship from the late Delta Line. And a fine one too!
