The wings are transported on fairly standard ships, usually heavylift, thought the carrying rig is specialized. The ships that carry and install the towers though.

There was a news bit over here last night about how they build and transport the blades of a wind turbine to the off shore mountings. Does anyone know what sort of ship they use? Has anyone drawn it? Has anyone got any photos of it? |

No we are not crazy, a little drunk maybe  we just sit in a bar and come up with ideas. and then do them!  our wind turbines will be/become floating wind turbines!

Yeah, nothing like a highly wind sensitive aircraft in an area that is, out of necessity, extremely windy. |
