An interesting pic...turns out that Cunard was interested in acquiring the "Big U" at one point, and went so far as to develop plans and a drawing to show how she might've looked. No idea what her name might've been, but the design looks interesting! (NOTE: There would be a pic here instead of a link, but for some reason DropBox refuses to work right and MajHost is shut down.)

This can be a simple new paint job. The SS United States has been in the main site for a long time now

Not as simple as all that...the superstructure would have to be reworked. Easy to do on warships, but a real pain on liners. :)
