By the way, Dutch media have reported that Damen is close to finalising a deal with Vietnam for two OPV's at EUR120 million each. I have no details, but I wonder if the OPV2600 would fit the bill perhaps? At the same time, other sources are claiming that Damen sold two SIGMA 9814 corvettes to Vietnam, so let's see how this turns out.

it is said that this OPV series was developed from the Holland class and from the development for the OPV designed for vietnam. no official reports on this though.

indeed alanceloet, the deal is to be finalised before the end of the year, most media say. Apparently, it will be a different beast than the OPV's that Damen is currently building in Vietnam for their Coast Guard: [ img ]
