I welcome you the 2nd Generation of Goalkeeper.
It is currently under development stage, and will be made and maby also tested in 2013.
It will use the currently under development .50 cal rapid speed bullets.
These are ment to do 2-3 times the speed of the original .50 cal bullets.
The plan can still be changed to 30mm, or even 25mm.
But i just liked this awesome plan, and i thought, lets make it.
The idea of the new goalkeeper, is creating a Close in weapon. Wich can also destroy targets at far range.
But also surfaced items, like inshore skiff's and/or pirate boats on sea.
This doesnt make it a close in weapon, but a true Anti Air/Surface warfare weapon, wich destroys the word ''close'' in CIWS.
Stats of Goalkeeper 2.
It will be quite larger then the original, uses a 2nd gen tracking radar (improved one from the 1st gen, with also a slightly bigger stick)
-7000-8000 (They try to make the 9000) shots per minut
-6000-7000 meters range (They say they can improve this with the new bullets to a maximum of 12km!)
-A new bulk load of aprox 9000 bullets, with a second of 7000. Automatic loading! (Instead manual of goalkeeper 1st gen, wich had 1123 shells in the 1st bulk
)

All i can do, is hope that this plan comes true. 12.7(.50 cal) seems small.
But with these brainstorming alinea, it is a hell of a weapon.
