Exactly what it says on the tin- the German superdreadnought SMS Baden depicted with a refit along the lines of battleships such as Tennessee and West Virginia that were most severely damaged in the attack on Pearl Harbor. I didn't give more than five seconds of thought to how this would happen I just sort of wondered how sexy the Bayern class would look with these refits, and then started drawing. The answer? Very, very sexy. Go wild speculating how this came to be or just appreciate them.

Looks cool, a nice idea. Sometimes a wild idea just needs exploring.

If I can give one small extra suggestion, I'd seal off all portholes in the hull. iIt's in line with US practice at the time (all newly built ships had no portholes since 1940, if not earlier, and wartime refits of the Battleship also included sealing off them).

I could actually see this remake being very functional! Though I agree with BB1987 in that the portholes need to be sealed off.

I like the concept. In my Imperial German AU I used a similar concept to work around the challenge of adding Flak and updated controls systems and etc. with the relatively small space between 2 and 3 turrets, a problem with updating several WWI German designs like the Derfflinger class.

To put that much extra weight on the hull, a set of bulges just might help with stability.
