This is a proposed destroyer leader design first brought to life by the game World of Warships, and now I have drawn it! I'm going to use this image to also draw the Mahan and Farragut class destroyers.

I knew that. I forgot to put something there before I posted this.

Those... are not illustrations of the same ship design.

The 2200 tonner has 5"/51 guns, a whaleback bow, and a completely different superstructure than what she's drawn, being ten years earlier, at least, from the WoWs ship...

Oops. Well anyways I'll just remove the reference then.

Also the WoWS as hull and armament upgrades. The original layout of the ship has the same guns as the Clemson class. The newer hull has the 5 inch guns, which I might do as well.

World of Warship is good at only one thing: "what if the ship got these upgrades" and to help to make an image on how things might have been... but is not considered accurate enough to be used as an reference.

except premium ship that might be a help tool, since they are strictly made to look like how the ship looked like at is prime. Take HMS Warspite (premium ship), she appears quit accurate to how she looked like in here later years, except for some small modification.

Shipbucket is about making as accurate drawing you'r skills can, only limited by quality photos and blueprints.

Ah, if World of Warships gave a possibility to chose cannons, engines and armour yourself... I mean, if there was a big database of different cannons, equipment etc. and player could choose anything to his taste. For exaple, arm King George V with 381-mm cannons and cut it's belt a some to make it a battlecruiser and smth like that... That would be wonderful.

I would see massive balancing issues with that.

But anyways I hate having to look at old drawings and black-and-white photos as reference. I spend more time trying to make out tiny details than drawing the actual thing. World of Warships seems like an easier alternative to me. I could always use old photos and stuff to compare the differences and all.
