Note: Those main guns are 12" Twins. Still require some extensive works to be done.

If it is French why are you are using American equipment?

That's a lot of guns on a pretty small hull. IIRC, Graf Spee (a similar design) had only two turrets for a total of 3 guns. Might want to consider downsizing.

Nice looking ship. I like the overall shapes(even though I'm no fan of the colour scheme, but that's just my oppinion)of it.
Wondering a bit on the plane crane and the funnels... wouldn't it be possible to move the aft funnel forward a bit, while keeping the cranes on the sides of it?
And, again, my own oppinion, but I've never understood the big-gun mania for these designs... it won't be fighting battleships(i suppose, and hope, for the sake of the crew), and for trashing cruisers a ten-inch gun works almost as good. ;)

I like the looks of her!

As for 2 triples vs. 3 twins, I'd think she had room for them, as other ships of similar size. The USN Florida class, for example, had 5 twin 12's on about 80' less hull, the Wyoming class had 6 twin 12's on 40' less, and the New York class had 5 twin 14's on 25' less. So, I'd think this class would have room for 3 twin 12's.

Would twin 10's really save that much size and weight compared to twin 12's? Personally, I would think the additional range and throw weight would offset any potential weight savings.

I still don't think it's feasible. You've got the armament of the Alaska class cruisers on a hull the size of the USS Houston.

AFAIK the Aaska have 3 12" Triples, and my ship have 3 12" Twins. I think it's feasible since the Deutschland have 2 11" Triples and it still have similar fire power on a similar sized hull.

Kinda threw me off there, as it's labeled 'Panzerschiff'; I was asking myself, "If this is a German ship, then why on earth does she have a French name and is apparently flying a USN four-star admiral flag?" :lol:

Then I figured things out. :lol:

Interesting color scheme, and as always, the French build beautiful ships, so she's got great lines. Keep up the great work!

I've never really understood the appeal of Panzerschiffs. It seems to me that they fall into a gap between heavy cruisers and battleships where they're too expensive for cruiser work and yet lack the power to stand in the line of battle.
