Union of Columbian Communes, Angelshark Class The SSN sibling to my Boomer Challenge entry, the Angelshark Class was designed and built alongside the Alexander Polnareff Class SSBNs in the late 1950s and early 1960s. A full class of 10 boats was constructed and served through the mid-1990s. The Angelsharks utilized many of the same components as the Alexander Polnareffs in order to reduce cost and development time, including the sail (basically a 1:1 copy), sonar and sonar arrangement, reactor, machinery plant, and screw. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ This thread will be used to compile my SB scale AU designs that do not fit into a larger AU or project. |

On the Moedig-class, you have Spy-1F radar, you don't need the Smart-s radar, they are more or less doing the same thing, and the bellow deck equipment that comes with both radars will just take up space that you want for something else. I would also made the funnel slightly taller, giving space for more vents, but also get the exhaust to go above the aft illuminator then trough it. And make sure the RHIB bay is big enough for a standard RHIB, they usually tends to be around +-8-9 meters My personal taste would be to make the hull a little taller, giving more clearance between main deck and water line, at the moment you have it only a little above a deck high, she will be "wet" in rough see |

Thanks for the feedback. Like I said at the start of the post, these are old drawings (that particular one is about four years out of date) and I uploaded them to this thread for posterity mostly. I probably won't be updating it because of its age and because that AU project is dead now, but if I do I'll keep those items in mind.
