You really don't want to put a Hazemeyer on the bow. Heapings of seawater + 1940ies electronics = Not a good idea.

umm .... yeah, hadn't considered that element of it. I do believe I'll swap that out for a standard quad mount.

EDIT: image redone

I had probably already changed it by the time you saw it. Wasn't much of a task, so I just swapped the hazemeyer out for one less likely to fry the crew whenever a wave comes over the bow.

Yeah... That one isn't much better. And it's about five years too early and completely out of sync with the rest of your AA which are all converted 20mm mounts.

Got a recomendation for a suitable one? :? What about one of the quad or octuple 2 Pdr mounts, but with newer 40mm instead of the older 2 Pdr's?

Well, give the timeframe I'd ditch all the converted 20mm mounts. They were cramped and had a dubious service record.
Instead you should decide on one or two type of mountings. Personally I'd go for the USNs Mark 1 Twin since you're using USN directors already.
If you insist on a bow mount I'd go for the Mark 3 Quad.

Yeah, I was just doing some reading on those on the NavWeaps website, see what I could come up with. Now I just need to find images and/or drawings of them. The US parts sheets, at least those I can find, seem to concentrate more on the modern stuff. I'll work it out somehow.

Thanks.

EDIT: image updated again, this time with all twin mounts, until I can find a suitable quad for the bow.
