While I like this design fine, I prefer Nighthunter's (No offence). But this could make a very fast and very awesome sloop if an aft mount was removed
I prefer Nighthunter's version as well. A colonial sloop needs to be several things, but fast isn't one of them. That said, a good alternate version would have 6" guns. I actually did a Springsharp of what a treaty limited 2000 ton, 20 kt vessel could do, and ended up with a fine "Pocket Cruiser" of sorts with respectable protection.
