Barnest, No worries man, it is your design, I just followed your original concept. Wonderful progress so far, btw.

I like most of it :) I should have joined up the hanger to the main superstructure long ago :P
The new boat is probably better. I need to change the colour though :)
The one thing I want to change is the stack. I like having a central stack rather than what appears to be a double stack on that drawing. Otherwise, you'll see the new one tomorrow :D

Well to have a central funnel like you want, you are going to want to merge the Fore and Aft Deckhouses.

The stairs on the side, is it merged with the outer hull plates?
Because then you can leave away the 2nd black stripe, wich actually shows it is the side plate of the stairs, with nothing under it.

I would also suggest a nose tip mooring ring, for the dwarspeek (dont know english word).

A chock at the stem of a ship is referred to as a bullnose.
The spaces behind the ladders (stair and vertical ladder) need to be filled in.
The superstructure looks like one continous structure, it needs some line to break it up.
Railings on top of the superstructure and forecastle.
Hatches, porthole, lifesaving gear, firefighting gear, etc.

I also think that the gun is too close to the superstructure, which will adveresely limit its arcs of fire. Your superstructure looks too uniform, not what can be seen on real ships. You need to break it up a little, by height, by width.
As mentoined earlier - details, like portholes hatches, ladders etc'.
