That's beautiful work! I haven't mustered the courage to move some of my sketches from paper to computer precisely because I have no idea about rigging.

The cut of her spanker is rather odd for a RN ship. It lacks a sheet as well.
The stitching is off too. Comparison
Good work though

Nice work. I found two books that were helpful when I was drawing sail vessels for the Republic of Texas:

http://www.hnsa.org/doc/index.htm#sail

You might use them to help you with mast heights and rigging requirements. But the language is old, so it might take a while to fully understand what they're saying.

The aftmost sail, which I guess is called the "spanker", isnt "sewn" right, it's top to bottom not right to left. Beautiful work on her, though, put the Lady Washington on hold the last few months because of a lack of information on her.

That can actually go either way depending on which sail making school you follow.
Horizontal example

Well most British ships of that era did top to bottom, Thiel, but thank you for enlightening and educating me.

Sail making is a cross between art and religion with a heavy dash religion mixed in.
Not to mention national pride and superstition.

Thank you everyone for your feedback, hopefully I've addressed everything brought up (though given my crash-course in sailing ships I've probably missed something still )

Changed the spanker sail - hopefully to something more British - and changed the stitching of said sail. I *think* I've added a sheet to it, and adjusted the height and layout of the masts slightly.

I'm no expert at sail ships, but for me it looks great!
