The nice thing about some of the previous design challenges, such as they are, is that nearly everything is likely to be possible. I see lots of stuff that will sink like a rock, and likely a few other designs won't be floodable at all. Submarines are a poor choice for these design efforts; a novice can't generally come close to something that would even work (badly) on paper, unlike surface ships.

Well i did have a walrus class replacement but that was way to big (80+ m) so i decided to redraw its design and make it fit in this challenge, and here she is:

Great looking subs - very shark-like. Nice to see an Aussie boat there too :)

Of course an Aussie boat, if you want Rowdy you could make a RRN version.

By the late 1970s, the main submarines in Pijkszeemacht service were local produced variants of the Dutch Dolfijn Klasse, along with some German designed Type 206 submarines used for coastal patrol, but more frequently, training. The focus since the end of the last decade had been on putting together a SSN programme, but with the hurdles and delays the project was experiencing, it was estimated the first vessels wouldn't be ready before the 1990s, so an interim class of SSK were needed.

Some, simply wanted to purchase the German Type 209 and be done with it, or go with enlarged versions of the then current Dutch boats, however, the main naval Rikszeemacht naval contractor, Pallamara-Zeelaandia Scheepswerf, offered a design that would, eventually, become the Nymphe Klasse. Though deriding the Type 209 as "cheap export boats", the design was in many ways a blend of both the 209 and the earlier 206 class, with large, prominent sonar dome. As envisioned, the Klasse would come in two basic models, the standard sized fleet boat, and the "Compact" inshore variant, for coastal patrol and/or training.

In the end, the RZM chose to mainly build the standard model, and export sales were limited, due to the greater marketshare of the Type 209, but Compact models were sold to Taiwan.

Great Subs here. So, here is my effort. It's A26 derivative, of course, so I'm kitbashing myself... Fortunately A26 doesn't look like that anymore (according to new references) so I'm able to send it here; I think?
