I noticed from your battle cruiser (which has good potential!), it's very rare that a funnel that tall is need on a small ship but there are exceptions. In no time you'll have those funnels in good shape!

I'd say it wants to be no taller than where that red dot is and the mast maybe a foot or two taller than that, no more.
