Ardente has been used only once in 1910 for one unit of Indomito Class 1910. A sister unit was Ardito.

then:
1912- Audace Class was comprising Audace and Animoso
1914 - Ardimentoso
1929 - Audace (2°)

I certainly agree with you there. There might be enough (top)weight savings to allow the 76mm to be raised a deck level and gain substantially improved fields of fire forward and aft.

Thanks Lazer...I found a different name though (Didn't want to takeup one of the RL-designs either given or planned names, such as Ardito, Ardimentoso or Animoso). But I think the new name will satisfy you too, since it's a genuine 'cacciatorpediniere' name!

To PB and erik: well, I know all that, but it was never my point. It was to attempt the maximum possible armament. Else the whole idea would be, kinda pointless. I might satisfy you two by a 'modernized' version, but I haven't decided yet... - Thank you, however, for you, otherwise, nice compliments!

Apart from ditching the center gun (that's so Dreadnought era!) and some style issues with how you drew the 40 mm gun tubs and the torpedo overhang, I really like this.

It would be an awesome display of firepower to see her cut loose!

Miho, thanks very much to begin with, and I do agree with you about the firepower display - the potentiality of it! But would you kindly, for the purposes of better understanding and improving the drawing yet more elaborate on what you think can be improved and how? I'm very much open for suggestions! The 40mm guntubs I kind like, but I'm open there for any suggestion, mind you, though that I will have to like it too!
